Isn't that where they first came from? I mean, shouldn't that set the definition of what a true hot wing should taste like? I would like to know the official story. I am sort of a wing afficionado among the other things for which I am also an afficianado. And I have had my fair share of shitty wings and a fair share of decent wings and a fair share of kick ass wings. I just want to know how the motherland does it.
Also, in response to another post, some of the best wings I have ever had were in Broomfield, Colorado. They were done up by a small eatery that specializes in wings. It is called Wingman. They are pretty damn good I must say.

Re: Has anyone ever had wings in Buffalo, New York?
Thu, January 22, 2004 - 6:37 PMActually I have! My ex was from Buffalo orginally and wings where one of the things that we both loved! So when I got to meet his family in Buffalo one of the planned portions of the trip was a vist to the AnchorBar www.anchorbar.com/
They where really good! for some reason I cannot remember a good description of the whole experience so, it must have just been rewarding in the moment. It did feel really cool having wings in one of the orginal places and apparently people come from all over to have their wings.
You can order them online too! I have been thinking about it, I want to have a WINGS PARTY! Perhaps some of you would want to join in on that idea - if you are in the Bay Area - we could order some of the wings from Buffalo and everyone can bring their favorite wings/recipe and of course lots of BEER! -

Sun, February 29, 2004 - 7:42 PMBuffalo native here. The Anchor Bar is ok, but Duff's is where the best wings are.
I've had some decent wings outside of Buffalo, but you have to make the pilgramage to get the best.. -

That said. The worst wings in New York are better than anything I've found on the west coast. What gives???
